COVID-19 Update

Updated on 12.5.2020

The NZ Government has announced we will move to Alert Level 2 – Reduce on Thursday 14th May 2020.
NZ Chauffeur will officially start carrying passengers from 1st June 2020.

We have made some small changes to the way we operate and this is to protect our Driver and our Customer.

Important requirements for our Drivers:

  • 1.

Drivers will be required to wear a mask at all times

  • 2.

Drivers will be required to wear gloves at all times

  • 3.

Drivers are not to handle the Customers luggage

  • 4.

Drivers must remain 1-2 metres distance from the Customer at all times

  • 5.

Driver is required to keep windows down 1-2 inches to allow the circulation of fresh air inside the vehicle

  • 6.

Where possible Drivers will use a larger vehicle to allow as much distance as possible between the Driver and Customer inside the vehicle

Cleaning process for our Vehicles:

  • Vacuumed

  • Frequently touched surfaces including door handles, seat belts, and window buttons, steering wheel, radio buttons etc are wiped down with disinfectant

  • Leather is treated with leather cleaner

  • Vinyl is treated with a vinyl cleaner

  • Windows are cleaned with window cleaner

  • Any used tissue packets are removed from the vehicle

  • The exterior of the vehicle is washed with hot water and car wash liquid after it is dried off with clean towels.

After the vehicle has been cleaned inside and out our final step is to spray the inside with Glen 20 a surface spray disinfectant that is hospital grade and kills 99.9% of germs and viruses. The vehicle is left overnight with this inside.
It is important to note that NZ Chauffeur has always done this even before COVID 19 existed. Our cleaning processes have always been top notch and is sometimes mentioned in our 5 Star Reviews.
